Job Purpose

The Head of Marketing role is responsible for developing and managing strategies for our online presence – ensuring our website, social media and online tools are effectively operating. This is a senior role with a mix of managerial, strategic and technical skills. This position will be responsible for leading the marketing team to use a combination of data, analytics and development knowledge to track and improve conversion and reputation.

Role & Responsibilities

The operational responsibilities of this position include:

Responsible for the creation of integrated marketing strategies, identity development, communication plans and positioning that will grow the brand.

Develop new email marketing strategies to drive customer retention and sales, including lifecycle emails, personalized triggers, and daily campaigns.

Manage & optimize campaign budgets over different channels to bring efficient growth in the business.

Drive marketing technology changes and enhancements to support performance goals, and ensure all digital projects are in line with the goals.

Identify methods to measure campaign performance and build out reporting dashboards for optimizations.

Drive customer acquisition & retention marketing initiatives.

Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary.

Manage digital marketing, creative and communications strategies and programs to maximize web traffic and sales from B2B through integrated marketing efforts.

Responsible for managing and tracking all the CRM systems and databases required to deliver the strategy.

Analyse marketing results from the team to drive actionable insights.

Manage brand development, online customer experience, reach optimization & web traffic, and demand generation programs.

Develop brand strategy and visual identity to crystalize the value proposition and position the company in the industry.

Own social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest.

Manage social media content (eg. original text, photos, videos and news).

Drive the development of marketing strategies via social channels.

Test and advise new and advanced advertising platforms.

Prepare the annual event budget for the company in consultation with the management.

Research opportunities for new clients and events.

Lead marketing webinars (live/recorded sessions) to increase brand exposure.

Forecast and manage department goals, objectives, and budgets.

Manage the process of all communication journeys to ensure consistent experiences for users.

Own and manage the marketing calendar across the organisation.

Develop and Manage online ads that are key customer acquisition channels.

Launch offline and online marketing campaigns.

Be responsible for all digital promotion, all messaging across platforms, and end to end marketing launches.

Monitor the competitive landscape to identify industry trends and best practices.

Be responsible for all marketing collateral.

Be responsible for acquisition and growth strategy.

Analysing the best acquisition channels to reach out to target customers.

Lead the communication with clients, and other leaders in the industry.

Collaborate with PR firms and marketing agencies to market the platforms.

Maintain a good relationship with key stakeholders inside and outside the industry.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver marketing projects within the timeline.

Knowledge Requirements

Clear and demonstrable understanding of eCommerce and web marketing technologies & strategies.

Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods.

Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices.

Proficient in Ms Office, Marketing software tools CRM, webengage and website analytical tools (Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).

Experience in setting up and optimizing Good Adwords campaigns.

BA/BSC Marketing or relevant qualification.


Native level oral and written communication and presentation skills in English are required.

Foresightedness, interpersonal skills, team spirit, innovativeness.

Should be proficient in the use of Google Apps, Office applications and internet technologies.

Excellent people skills, strong organizational skills and time-management abilities.

Creativity and commercial awareness.

Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Take new challenges and learn new things and adapt to change and are comfortable changing processes and improving.

Extremely organized. Do not forget to follow up and can manage many simultaneous projects at the same time.

8+ years of experience in a similar role preferably in a Startup.

Experience with marketing tools and software.

A proven track record of implementing successful marketing strategies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: AED15,000.00 – AED17,000.00 per month
