KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and manage the delivery of Powered Access Machines to meet agreed customer delivery times. Ensure that off-hired equipment is collected from customer sites in a timely manner

Liaise with other departments to ensure all delayed departures and/or deliveries are clearly communicated to relevant area

Plan deliveries and collections to ensure cost effective use of transport fleet

Plan the activity of drivers ensuring maximum productivity within the targeted average hours is achieved

Actively manage performance and standards of the internal Rapid Access and external transportation company drivers

Monitor daily activity and take corrective action to meet customer expectations while liaising with other departments

Carry out spot-checks of vehicle and driver records

Coordinate all vehicle maintenance activities

Ensure that all necessary off-hire damage notifications are recorded and changes applied

Prepare and issue purchase orders

Accurate completion of daily transport paperwork in-line with company policy and procedures

Logistics

Asset Management

Managing assets within L-Vis, the asset management and rental system of Rapid Access

Manage and maintain live Yearly Spreadsheet files

Shipping/Logistics

Importing and exporting machines and machine parts

Procurement

Raise purchase orders for MPC requirements and non-fleet capex

Place orders to suppliers and coordinating with the availability of goods and ensure that all goods will be delivered on schedule

Countercheck items received in the delivery order against our order

Goods-in of all received goods in the system

Countercheck invoices submitted by freight forwarder

MPC Administration

Arrange Third Party Inspection of MPC fleet and ensure that all machines have been tested before they will move to any destination.

Prepare arrival notification sheet for the newly arrived machines into MPC

Request new e-code from UK

Prepare collection note of the machines

Gather PDI/PHI/PPM QIP/Service Inspection/Machine Performance sheets

Scan export documents, machine transfer documents, Third Party Inspection Certificates and send to the receiving depot

Ownership Warranty & Registration of JLG Machines – JLG website

Genie & JLG Technical Safety Bulletin – as per instructions

Maintain file for CE/ANSI Certificates

Print-out of Machine manuals as per request

Provide assistance to all depots within the region including international projects

Skills

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The chosen candidate will meet ALL the essential criteria below:

ESSENTIAL

Educated to high school or above standard

Experience working in a fast-paced, hire, logistics, transport or similar industry background

Knowledge of road, air and sea freight

Ability to deliver an excellent customer experience (in person and over the phone)

Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office packages

Experience of preparing draft financial reports in Excel

Fluent in English (verbal and written)

With Logistics background

DESIRABLE

Good knowledge of systems and transport planning or delivery route planning system

Good understanding of different routes in the assigned geographical area

Experience within a hire, heavy equipment or plant environment

Clean current driving licence for the occasional requirement to visit a customer

Fluent in Arabic (verbal and written)

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

A professional manner with good (written and verbal) communication

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong administration, time management and organisation skills

Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines

Friendly and team orientated approach

Ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines, whilst dealing with a number of projects simultaneously

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to AED9,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • transport: 3 years (Required)
  • logistics: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • driving license (Preferred)

  • Higher secondary school or equivalent.
